GPD XD - Kernel Adiutor - Elite Turbo Button

Summary:

This is a continuation of the Tutorial : GPD XD - Novice Guide to Legacy Rom 1.8GHz

Having an app to change your CPU speed can be intimidating if you do not know much about it. This tutorial will show you how to add shortcuts to your home screen to make toggling speeds easy. The Elite Turbo Button is also very theme-able and is just a nice way to make it flashy.

I want to make more tutorials in the future using these apps. They are very powerful apps that can add a bunch of features to your android device. They are intimidating and it may take a while for me to figure it out, but once I do I will try and break the process down to make it easier for you.

** You do not have to come from the tutorial: Novice Guide to Legacy Rom 1.8GHz  . But if you want to take advantage of this tutorial you must have the following :

  • Android device
  • Kernel Adiutor must be installed
  • Profiles properly setup for Kernel Adiutor

Before you get started:

  • You need to have completed the tutorial : Novice Guide to Legacy Rom 1.8GHz  If you did not complete tutorial you must:
    • Install Kernel Adiutor
    • Setup profiles for Kernel Adiutor
  • To install Turbo Button - Simple - ( the first button on tutorial )  You only need Kernel Adiutor installed.

  • To install Turbo Button - Elite - ( the third button on tutorial )  you need the following apps:

** These are powerful apps. I would suggest investing in them ( Pro versions ). I will post more tutorials using them in future to make it worth your investment.

Turbo Button - Simple

Kernel Adiutor creates a widget by default when you setup your profiles. It may seem complicated but I show you how to do it in this tutorial. Once you have set that up it's just a matter of going into your widgets and placing a shortcut on your home screen.

** This method is not gamepad friendly. This means you can not press the arrow keys to toggle each speed. You have to touch each speed with finger. **

Easy / Pro Tutorial

( I am using Square Home 2 Launcher as my Main launcher )

  • [Shown on video- time: 0:25 ]: Pinch the screen and tap on the Unlock icon at the center bottom. Icon will change from green to yellow.
  • [Shown on video- time: 0:27 ]: Tap on the [ + ]  icon.
